That is where I found myself in my early forties. Life seemed to just get away from me and I found myself heading down a path that was familiar, my fathers. I saw him gain weight, lose weight and gain more back, all of which took a tole on his body and health. Health issues seemed to keep piling up and so did the prescription drugs (18 in total). I remember the two TRIGGERS for me to make a shift in my health like it was yesterday and I said NOT ME. One was I weighed 315 pounds at 5”11” and a friend of mine weighed the same but was 6’7” and he looked heavy, the second one was sitting on my bed to tie my shoes and being out of breath from not being able to breath because of the size of my stomach as I bent over. That was 15 years ago and I have dropped over 100# and kept it off for more than nine years. I am on ZERO prescription drugs and my blood work is text book perfect. I have completed 2 triathlons, cycle over 100 miles weekly and am in the best shape of my life at age 58. Life is just getting started!
